After reading the information on my blog about Palm Island - Jumeirah, and watching the video (only 32:25 - 37:35 section) you may use Google Earth to check out it out. Don't forget to check out the World islands too. It is amazing to see that these were man made. Can you see the World Islands look like the Earth?

I loved the fact that a humans are making LAND!! Amazing! But I think I would be too scared to live there. The houses are so expensive and what happens if the ocean erodes all of the sand? I would be out of all that cash. But then again, if I had $150 million, I probably would have a lot more money so it really wouldn't matter.

I would not want to live on palm, or the World Islands. I would love to have the money, but i would use it for good, not luxuries unsafe mansions. I would rather be inland than outland. In fact, I would use the money to make Palm, and world islands better. I woud feel safe on sky scrapers that are almost invincible. I would be scared to death if I moved to their .

I would be scared to live on the Palm Islands. If the sand disappears then where is your home? I would not live there in the first place because the houses are way to expensive. The Wold Islands do look like earth. I can't believe they are hand made. It sounds imposible.

I think it would be kind of cool and scary! But I am concerned about the wildlife that lives in ocean sand. What if they get sucked up? Maybe the architects can eind a new way construct the Palm Islands. Maybe get sand from the dessert???!!! But I think they should build up a green thumb. And don't forget Mother Earth!!!!!!

I think it is cool that it is in the shape of a palm tree. It was man made of coures. The houes are so cool because there right near the water and sand almost every day they can take a walk on the beach but I agree with TW(teacher). I like how they have a medium palm tree then a small palm tree then a earth shape one and then a bigger palm tree. I think the earth shape one is really cool I think it is earth shape is it TW(teacher)

I loved how they had to find water.It was so so so so cool how they pumped water up the sky scrapers.I loved how they moved the corral reif. It was epic that they had the concrete so far down just to build the buildings. Why did they care so much about the corral reif?

I think it is very scary to live surrounded by ocean. What if a very strong wind blows and the sea will come on the island.But it is very beautiful and built by hand. I think that the workers are incredible. I would want to go there.

It is amazing how technology has made Dubai a comfortable place to live. It is a really place but the people are kept cool and comfortable. Technology also made more space for people to build homes. How can they pay for all these technology? I wonder if selling oil is making all this possible.

The island looks so cool! I don't think I could ever build the palm island. I think that living on that island would be super cool but if that island broke I would be so SCARED. That shape of the island look amazing. That looks like so much hard work, and they evan had to make boats go around the edges to smoothen out the sand.

It is really amazing that they could build the Palm Islands. It is one of the hottest places in the world and it is really awesome. Are there hotels in the Palm Islands or is it just houses? If they are planning more Palm Islands I bet it will take a lot of time. Do they have security there a wave could come and take the Palm Islands.

The Palm Islands are amazing! If they are planing on making more Islands like that one, I would have to visit them. It must be nice to live there. You could go to the beach every day and watch the sunrise and the sunset. Are you going to visit them?If so tell me how much fun it was to see the Palm Islands.

Dubai is the largest growing city on earth. I love how the engineers built a man made island shaped like a palm tree. It's cool that the island sits on 7 million tons of rock. The island added 17 kilometers of land for beach houses. I also liked how the boats can smooth the edges of the island.

I wonder what is happening to the coral and the animal life on Palm Island. How does it effect the marine life and fish to change the coastline so dramatically? Also where does the trash and sewer go? If this happened in Malibu I would be sad that the views would be blocked by houses in the sea.

It must have taken a long time to build Palm Island. I suppose if they have done many before they know what they are doing. Like India, I would be concerned about the impact of construction on the marine life. If you lived there, you would need a boat. I think that if you could afford to own a house on Palm Island you would have enough money to buy one.

I can't believe that Palm Island is HAND MADE!!! It sounds barely possible to make land. I think the engineers who helped out were professionals, or very skilled at doing their job. I think that only rich people can move there, the houses are very expensive. I totally congratulate the people who helped make Palm Island.

Wow! I never knew you could make land like that. If you have to build a whole island with basically 10 dredgers that explains why it is hard to build a sand castle! IR20 I also wonder how the coral and the animal life is affected by people moving the boulders that their homes are on. I am scared for the people that live on palm island. What if the sea dragged in the sand and someone was in one of the houses and they didn't know how to swim, that would just be terrible.
