Characteristics of Tall Tales
✰ exaggeration✰ main character has a problem to solve and usually overcomes the obstacle or defeats a “bad guy”
✰ main character is bigger than life/super-human abilities
✰ the plot of the story is funny or impossible
✰ often about the frontier days in the United States (exaggeration of the hardships of frontier life or explains a natural occurrence)
✰ may be about animals, weather, everyday events, and ordinary people (more famous tales are about heroes)

I also liked it because thats how Alaska was made.
The last reason why I like it because you said if you look in the night look closley and you'll see the fish's head slightly.

ReplyDeleteI think that when the old man said " You can't create the sun" I thought that was a great part. I think it is funny I am commenting on my own tall tale but it was good.

The story I liked best was Tea with Milk.What I liked about it was that she spoke two different languages,and went to two different schools.Also what I thought about it was the book was very creative.Also it was given information at the end.Also the japanese womens daughter wrote the book.NH#8
